My ultimate goal as a therapist is to help you be the very best version of yourself that you can be. It is my passion to help you through listening with warmth and understanding while also using evidence-based practices to bring you to growth and change. I bring a calm demeanor and non-judgemental attitude to sessions to encourage openness and honesty in order to promote an affirmative, positive environment for you to feel safe and heard in.

My preferred approach to counseling is person-centered while also utilizing a combination of CBT and mindfulness techniques. Your therapy is always your space, I always keep in mind other modalities to adapt and adjust to your needs. I enjoy taking a positive psychology perspective in advocating for your strengths to keep the focus on your many attributes instead of solely focusing on the negative aspects that we all tend to hone in on in ourselves. Maintaining an affirming atmosphere for individuals from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences is instrumental in being an effective counselor for my clients.

I am interning at Flourishing Affinity to begin my counseling career and apply my skills to clients who need them with a focus on anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I am currently in my Masters program for rehabilitation and mental health counseling at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Being in a program that specializes in mental health counseling as well as rehabilitation provides an additional perspective in helping people with disabilities and vocational counseling knowledge.

When I’m not counseling, I also am a server and bartender, an actor, an avid gamer, a foodie, a gym enthusiast, an amateur guitarist, and a proud cat parent.
