Congratulations, as you have taken the first crucial step in furthering your counseling journey! I’m so proud of you and glad that you have decided to embark on finding a therapist that is right for you. If you are brand new to therapy or have experience in seeking behavioral health care, I am excited that you are here!

I have a strong passion towards working with diverse individuals and providing the best support I can to everyone’s unique situations. As a Latina and queer-identifying therapist, I elect to use an intersection of empirically-based methods, multicultural consciousness, and feminist theory in my approach. I provide a judgment-free space to allow my clients to feel heard and validated and explore the multiple depths and dimensions of their life experiences. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, I allow my clients to investigate themselves using different methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I welcome clients of all backgrounds and intersections, including BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals.

Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, I moved to Chicago to pursue my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As I am in my final year of my program at DePaul University, I am ready to apply the information I have learned through clinical experience and curriculum. My experience growing up in New Mexico gives me unique insight to working with diverse populations, specifically in the Latinx community.

In my free time, I enjoy singing and painting. As an artist, I am constantly exploring different mediums to express myself through. I have two cats who are spoiled, and am an animal lover. I am also an avid museum goer, and love to explore the different areas that Chicago has to offer.
